Who we are:

Founded in 1954 by the late Nick and Doris Camblin, Camblin Steel Service evolved from labor-only steel placing business to the full service company you know and trust today. Known around the industry as "Toughy", Nick Sr started as an iron worker with an American dream. His "We can do it!" attitude coupled with an intense work ethic and his willingness to take chances helped him grow this dream into reality. Camblin Steel became known nationally as a company you can depend on and it was no surprise that when companies like Ryerson and PDM Steel needed rebar placement done well and on time, they called on Camblin Steel.
Throughout the 60's and 70's, Camblin Steel continued to grow but began to shift from major projects like the missile silos of the cold war in Kansas and Ohio to more industrial and commercial projects in the west. Having successfully established their home offices here in the growing Sacramento area Nick Sr. retired in 1986. Continuing as a family run business Camblin Steel Service is currently owned and operated by William "Bill" Camblin.
Maintaining a steadfast commitment to the integrity by which Nick, Sr. established the company Bill Camblin continue to oversee a growing and stable business that successfully serves clients throughout Northern California and Nevada. As members of the Ironworkers Union we are committed to continuing the tradition of high quality rebar placement and services that we have provided since 1954.
